Formation
In August of 2011 a group of concerned community members met with Sheriff Turner. With budget cuts the group was anxious about the ability of the Sheriff's Office to maintain the highest level of community safety.
After a presentation by Sheriff Turner, the group moved to start a nonprofit foundation. Seven directors were elected. The process was started on Articles of Incorporation and the adoption of Bylaws. Papers were filed to be recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
